Long Island City Partnership's annual Real Estate Breakfast is the premiere real estate event in western Queens. On April 19, 2023, around 300 business and civic leaders joined LICP for another invigorating conversation on the real estate outlook in Long Island City.

Will LIC's Mixed Use Prominence Remain Post-Covid?

Though Long Island City continues to see remarkable growth across residential, bio/life sciences, and via ground floor retail development in its commercial corridor, significant transitions have emerged that bring to question Long Island City’s preparedness for the years ahead: How is the real estate industry responding to the reduced need for office space? What does the neighborhood’s demographic shift mean for real estate development? How do we reimagine Long Island City in this critical time following the pandemic?These new realities will be considered by a dynamic cross-sector panel, offering suggestions on what Long Island City needs from government agencies, elected officials, and other stakeholders to emerge as a leading, future-forward community.

The event will feature a keynote address from Dan Garodnick, Director of NYC Department of City Planning and Chair of the City Planning Commission. David Brause, President of Brause Realty, moderates the panel, which includes: Mitch Arkin, Executive Director, Cushman & Wakefield; Shih Lee, owner, SAPPS and SHI Restaurants; Yasmeen Ahmed Pattie, Principal, East Egg Project Management; and D. Patrick Pryor, Head of Real Estate - Americas, Sotheby’s Inc.
